As part of an event organised by the Slowfood movement celebrating quality traditional British cuisine Grimsby Traditional Smoked Haddock was supplied by Alfred Enderby Ltd to Corrigan’s of Mayfair and Sam Harris’s Zucca, the two restaurants which hosted the event.
Fast rising chef Sam Harris at Zucca praised the qualities of Grimsby Smoked Haddock as "a fantastic product, my favourite of the evening. Smokey but delicate, excellent in it's natural state so needs only lightly cooking. A really great product that we will potentially look to use again in the future".
Richard Corrigan (The Great British Menu) played host to Chef Alliance members Angela Hartnett, Atul Kochhar, Emily Watkins, Valentine Warner and Shaun Hill at Corrigan’s Mayfair as part of Slowfood’s drive to promote traditional British food produce.
Renowned Television chef Angela Hartnett M.B.E. in particular gave brilliant feedback, and all of the guests very much enjoyed the dish she prepared of Traditionally Grown Hampshire Watercress and Grimsby Smoked Haddock Risotto.
